Femi has over 35 years of accounting, financial advisory, portfolio management, private equity, corporate finance, principal investment, and project finance experience across the international and West African markets.
He has led the execution of over US$10 billion of energy transactions covering upstream, midstream, downstream, power, renewable energy, and other energy-related infrastructure in Nigerian and African markets, including a US$276 million sale of a downstream marketing business, a US$150 million transportation business, and a US$100 million real estate development.
His previous experience includes Managing Director / CEO of BGL’s Investment Banking Group, Investment Banker at Rand Merchant Bank, and Head & Director at Stanbic Bank’s Project & Structured Finance Group. Prior to Argentil, Femi was Managing Director / CEO of the investment banking subsidiary of BGL Plc, with overall responsibility for the structured finance, corporate finance, and principal investment business. He has also held senior roles at Rand Merchant Bank, Stanbic Bank Nigeria (now Stanbic IBTC), and Asset & Resource Management Investment Fund Managers (ARM).
Femi holds an MBA and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD) Nigeria and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
